Quilts For Kids, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to transforming fabrics into patchwork quilts that
comfort children in need. The children are either admitted patients in local hospitals or are temporarily living in shelters.

Our Mission
Our Mission
The national, non-profit organization of Quilts for Kids was founded in 2000 by Linda Arye when she saw large amounts of design fabric samples were being thrown into landfills. She felt they could instead be put to good use and, thus, started making patchwork quilts to comfort children in need.
In March 2012, Betty Conoly of Gainesville started the Northeast Georgia Chapter. By 2019, the Chapter grew from 11 volunteers to over 400. The chapter celebrated its 10-year anniversary with the milestone of donating 7,000 quilts to local hospitals & shelters. And in 2024, celebrated its 12-year anniversary with over 10,000 quilts donated.
In 2022, Lisa and Mark Vieira graciously stepped in as the new Chapter Leaders. As of September 2026, the Chapter has donated over 12,000 quilts and continues to donate over 100 quilts per month.

Help our cause
Whether you donate time to cut or sew the quilts, or donate supplies needed or money to purchase those supplies, we can certainly use your help.
Join us at a workshop, or pick up a kit at participating quilt shops or guilds or use one of the patterns provided here to use with your fabric stash, to make quilts filled with love for our kids.
