Information About Us
The national, non-profit organization of Quilts for Kids, Inc. was founded by Linda Arye in 2000 when she saw that large amounts of design fabric samples were being thrown into landfills. She felt sure they could be put to good use and made into patchwork quilts to comfort children in need.
The Northeast Georgia Chapter began in March 2012 by Betty Wright in Gainesville, Georgia and has grown from 11 volunteers in 2012 to over 400 by 2019. In 2022, our chapter celebrated the 10 year anniversary and reached the milestone of 7,000 quilts donated to local hospitals & shelters.
